“I heard about Danica through a friend who had trained with her previously and decided to check her out as I got engaged and had a wedding to prepare for!

I had quite a bit of experience with fitness prior to meeting Danica. I had a few personal trainers over the years, done lots of group fitness and trained on my own. Getting to the gym wasn’t a problem for me, it was having a plan that fit my goals and consistency with nutrition.

Right away we did pictures and measurements so we could keep track of our progress. I was given a nutrition plan that was really easy to follow, and if foods I liked weren’t in it, Dan would be a simple text away from helping me fit it into the plan. From all my years of training and trying new “diets”, I had a lot of anxiety about food. I was afraid of certain foods and had an all-or-nothing mentality when it came to nutrition. I would either be super strict and miserable, or bingeing and feeling guilty. One of the greatest things Danica taught me was a relaxed and consistent attitude towards nutrition. I never once felt I couldn’t have a life. I just learned how to plan and make choices that were worth it. After I was on the meal plan for a while, I switched to counting macros which was even more flexible. We actually ended up steadily INCREASING my calories so that it when it came to cut weight for my wedding, I never had to go below 2000 calories. That meant I was never hangry, and I could still go out occasionally, and most importantly no stress. For training, we always had a clear plan with goals in mind. We switched periodically types of strength training and got great results. Rarely ever did I do steady state cardio unless I wanted to on my own. I got some great muscle definition and never felt burnt out or injured. I always looked forward to my training sessions because we had so much fun training in Danica’s personal studio. We put on our own music and got to work, never having anyone else in our way! I also did boot camps with a few other clients which were always a good time. Danica was amazing at working in exercises I liked and getting me to suck it up through the really hard ones.

I can never thank Danica enough for all she has taught me about fitness and nutrition. She is truly such a special person and is so good at her job. It was amazing to work with someone who would get just as excited about my gains (or losses if we are talking pounds) as I did. Training with Danica felt like you always had someone on your team cheering you on and pushing you forward. “
